16 October 2020.
Dear Brent Family,
TGIF! We’re ending our eighth week of school, and what a great way to cap the week with the release of our mid semester progress reports. Let’s all work together, keep resilient, and aim high for a strong Semester 1 finish.
In keeping connection, community and curiosity thriving for all members of the Brent family through our Magic Mountain in the Cloud program, here are some exciting updates:
1. United Nations Celebrations at BISB, October 19 through October 28.
We will be celebrating the International Year of Plant Health during Brent Baguio’s United Nations Week. See below poster for the various events that will take place over the week to celebrate Brent’s cultural diversity while also participating in activities surrounding the UN Week theme (more details to be released from Mr. Power Monday Morning):
2. Academic Honesty at BISB
Academic Honesty at Brent Baguio is of utmost importance. It is integral to authentic learning and character building.
On Wednesday, October 13, assemblies were held to present the importance of honesty and integrity in the life of a Brentonian. Thank you to Mrs. Marjory Alcantara (Department Head, Modern Languages); Ms. Laura Johnson, MS English teacher; and Ms. Kim Arganda, LS Head Teacher for conducting these interactive and informative sessions.
A review of the Academic Honesty Policy Handbook and research skills is done not only in English classes but across all subjects as well. We are sharing the slides and recordings of the presentations so that students and parents can review these at home.
Likewise, we encourage all parents and students to read through our Academic Honesty Policy Handbook.

We have our Student-Parent handbook available on our website. Kindly note that our Citizenship Rubric has likewise been updated.
Thank you and have a safe and restful weekend, everyone!
