One way of benchmarking and tracking our students’ progress is the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests which are taken twice a year by our students in Grades 3-10. The first tests will be taken on August 28-September 5.
These MAP tests assess skills and competencies in areas of Language, Reading, and Mathematics. The results are compared to both USA and worldwide norms for students their age.
The tests take place throughout the school day, and we do our best to schedule them so that students miss no more than one class in a single subject.
The results of these tests help inform us about how well your child is performing in these various areas, as well as specific areas of focus for each student. The results should be made available to you by the first semester report card. Meanwhile, the second round of testing will be in April 2020; specific dates will follow.
