Principal’s Corner

On behalf of all the faculty and staff, welcome to school year 2019-2020 at Brent International School Baguio!

Guided by our mission and this year’s school theme, “communicate positively”, I am excited for what this year inspires and challenges us to be and do!

We are proud of our Brent community, traditions, and initiatives that have made us such a special place of learning.  These unique features are not limited to singular dates on our school calendar, but these are the daily and weekly habits integrated in our staff, classrooms, the environs of our beautiful Magic Mountain, and beyond. Likewise, we are proud of our diverse, highly qualified, and internationally trained teaching and support staff who are dedicated to our school’s mission and values.

This website has very helpful information such as our up-to-date school calendar,  student resources, weekly bulletin, among many others. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask– we are here to help!

To our returning students, welcome back to your second home! We are excited to see you continue in the awareness and development of your strengths and areas of growth. We are excited to see you try new things, take on challenges, and reflect on your journey thus far.

To our new students, may this place bring you new found opportunities of learning and self-discovery. We are also excited to see you belong and thrive on our Magic Mountain.

To our returning and new parents, we are looking forward to a fruitful partnership in supporting your child in school and at home. We are a Brent family because of your invaluable role in supporting our learning in and outside the classroom.

To our incoming Headmaster, Mr. Brett Petrillo and our new faculty and staff, we are proud to have you on our team!

Everyone who gets to live, work, and study in this school is a part of the Brent family and of a very special legacy of learning.

I end with our philosophy of education articulated no other than our founder Bishop Brent whose vision lives and breathes in all of us 111 years strong and beyond:

“Human strength is of a threefold character- physical, mental, spiritual. Each aspect of strength is more or less dependent upon and sensitive to the condition of the other two. A sound mind asks for a sound body as the normal medium of expression; and mind and body at their best form a feeble alliance unless a noble spirit animates both.”

-Bishop Charles Henry Brent

May we all, as a Brent family, continue to grow and develop physically, mentally, and spiritually this school year!

God bless us all!
