CAMERON FORBES HALL. This Student Dormitory and faculty residential row is named after Gov. Gen. Cameron Forbes whose family donated the land on which the school stands.

Boarding facilities are maintained for students who are at least 10 years old or in Grade 5. While students are considered for boarding generally from the Grade 5 level, acceptance to boarding is based on particular circumstances and availability of dorm space. Being a boarder at Brent is obviously not quite like one’s home but the dorm and the campus are made to be as homey as possible. Cameron Forbes Hall with some faculty apartments is the accommodation facility for the boarding students. On special occasions, a formal Sunday Compline service with candlelit dinner is shared with the campus resident family.

For legal and many practical purposes, the Headmaster has the same authority and same responsibility as the head of the family in any of the cultures from which Brent students are drawn. In practice, this authority and these responsibilities are shared with and delegated to the Dorm Head, and the dorm parents.
