Dear Brent families,

Here’s sharing the following updates:

  1. Academic Honesty Assemblies:

This morning, all students attended assemblies focusing on honesty in student work as well as building the skills and confidence necessary for success in academic settings.

Being a member of an academic community means applying such qualities and skills towards the attainment of our ESLRs as well as our mission of developing students who are “equipped for entry to Colleges and Universities throughout the world” (Brent Mission).

Support and resources are easily accessible. Please note that the Parent and Student Resources Interface Page has the Academic Honesty Policy Handbook FOR MS AND US. This also is available on our website. Below are the slides used this morning.

Parent Support Session for Grade 12 parents:

You are invited to our Parent Support Session on September 6th from 3:15 to 4:15 pm for a talk on Supporting Your Child in Grade 12. This will be hosted by myself and Almae Caluya (Guidance Counselor).

This is an important event for all Grade 12 parents. Information gained from the presentations and discussions will help us understand the workload and context of our seniors, gather ideas on how to best support them, and be prepared for their college applications.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 6th!

National Honor Society (NHS) Non-Uniform Day, September 2 | Celebrating Baguio and the Cordillera culture!

Join us in commemorating the anniversary of our city as well as recognizing the importance of Baguio and the Cordillera culture! Students, faculty, and staff will be given the option of wearing either red, green, yellow, or black or Cordilleran attire or any outfit that shows appreciation for Baguio so we don’t have to purchase other clothes.

50 pesos will be collected from those who choose to participate in this event. Proceeds will go to the legacy project of the NHS! Here’s also reminding everyone about our dress code.

Finally, we’d like to wish everyone a Happy Baguio Day!

Please note that on Friday, September 2, we will be following a Day 1 schedule.  This is in an effort to maintain alignment with other Brent campuses.

Thank you and stay safe, fellow Brentonians!

Sincerely,

Dr. Celeste R. Engler

School Principal
