Dear Brent School Community,

Welcome back from the Easter Break! We hope you had a restful and meaningful break and are ready to dive back into the remaining six weeks of the school year. 

Well done to our Middle School and Grade 9 classes for a successful book drive! The books were donated on Friday, March 31 to the Lindawan Elementary School. Thank you to Dr. Julie Sibucao, Ms. Pau Egino, Ms. Tes Castro and Ms. Marjory Alcantara for supervising the event! Thank you to all who supported the MS/Grade 9 Book Drive!

Thank you to JCo and the LS faculty team ℅ Ms. Kat Moredo for hosting an enjoyable LS Easter Egg Hunt!

Cheers to our seniors and thanks to the IB team for a successful run of the IB/ Brent summative assessments for our seniors. Thanks to Mr. Paul Engler, Ms Jennie Umaging and the proctors: Mr James Young, Mr. Kris Nebrija, Ms. Donna Nebrija, Mrs. Geraldine Reyes. Graduation is just around the corner for our seniors!

Here are some updates on what’s happening in the coming days:

On Wednesday, April 12th, the National Honor Society will host a Parent Appreciation Chapel at St. Nicholas Chapel at 7:45 AM. All parents are invited to attend. Morning tea will be served after the service at the Dining Hall.

On Thursday, April 13th, we will have House Games, featuring Softball games for Intermediate and Senior students.

On Friday, April 14th, Grade 11 and 12 students will participate in the Group 4 Science Project.

Also on Friday, April 14, we will be having “Under One Sky” a K-11 Art Exhibition from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Gym. The exhibition will feature the artworks of 92 students from our Art classes, and we encourage everyone to invite their family and friends to attend. We also have artwork by Ms. Donna Nebrija, our Economics and Business faculty. The exhibition will also include a silent auction to raise funds for the Middle School Social Squad’s community outreach program. The auction will be open from April 14th to April 17th, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Gym. We would like to thank Ms. Donna Nebrija, Mrs. Marites Castro, and Julie Sibucao, PhD, for supervising the activity and ensuring its success. All are welcome to attend!

 

From April 19th to April 25th, we will conduct Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Testing for Grades 3-10 students. The subjects tested will be Reading, Language Use, and Mathematics. Reports and scores will be available for review a few weeks after the testing.

We are also excited to announce that the STUCO Elections are coming up! Candidates must prepare and submit their Speech Written Transcript by Wednesday, April 12th, and their Campaign Posters with the candidate slogan by Friday, April 14th. All candidates should have a GPA of 2.50 or higher. Campaigning Guidelines are available on our Google Classroom, and all speeches and campaign materials must be approved by the STUCO advisor before they are posted on campus. The campaign period will be from Tuesday, April 18th to Thursday, April 20th. STUCO speeches will be on Tuesday, April 18th during long homeroom and the STUCO Election will take place on Friday, April 21st during the last 10 minutes of Block 4 via a post on the Google Classroom.

Finally, we would like to remind all re-enrolling students to complete the Medical Form and submit it to the Registrar’s Office. The Reservation and Re-enrollment Form is available on our website and can be submitted in person or via email to registrar@brentbaguio.edu.ph. A list of all fees and the school fees policy can be found on our website. Our school cashier on campus can assist you in re-enrollment and processing payments of any school fees. You may also settle the reservation fee for the 2023-2024 school year through a bank deposit or bank transfer.
