In the week ahead students will have events and activities such as the Lower School Market Day, Sports activities for House Games, LS Football, and Subic Cup, as well as information sessions with Brent Alumni. Grade 10 Information Afternoon on EE, TOK, and CAS
3:00 – 4:00 PM
Venue: Little Theater
A special Information Afternoon will be held for Grade 10 students to guide them on the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) requirements. Thank you to Teachers Nicolai, James and Donna for facilitating this important session.

February 19 Wednesday– Lower School Market Day
Our Grade 5 students will showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit at Market Day! Thank you to Ms. Jennifer Francisco for coordinating this exciting event. Parents and students are welcome to stop by and support their booths! -

February 20 Thursday – House Games: Ultimate Frisbee (Intermediates & Juniors)
Our Intermediates and Juniors will compete in this friendly House Games Ultimate Frisbee match. Parents, faculty, and alumni are welcome to come and cheer! Thank you to Coach Boy Arandez for organizing this event.

Who’s Invited: Open to all students, faculty, staff, and parents.
This is a unique opportunity for our community to learn from Brent graduates who have made meaningful contributions in their fields. We are also honored to welcome Dr. Mary Anne Alabanza Akers (Brent Baguio Class of 1976), Dean of the College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona, who will share insights on urban planning, sustainable development, and social equity.
Faculty, parents, and students are encouraged to take part! Let’s extend a warm Brent welcome to our visiting alumni as they tour the campus and visit classrooms. -

February 22-23 Weekend – Season 3 Subic Cup @ Brent Subic
Our Season 3 athletes will travel to Brent Subic to compete in the Subic Cup. Wishing the best to our Boys Basketball and Girls Football teams! Thank you to Ms. Nicolai Carino for organizing this event. -

March 7, 2025 – First EE Writing Session of Class 2026, from 4th block 1:20 pm to 4:00 pm. This is mandatory for Grade 11 students.

Middle School Camp @ Brent Subic (February 12-14)
Congratulations to our Middle School students and faculty for an adventurous and enriching Middle School Camp at Brent Subic! Special thanks to Mr. Wyks and the MS faculty Teachers Geraldine, Dana, Michael, Marriet, Julie, and Josh for their leadership and guidance in creating a meaningful outdoor experience filled with learning, teamwork, and growth. We are so proud of our students for embracing challenges and strengthening friendships!

February 13-14 Ultimate Frisbee & Football Game vs. BSU
Our Seniors and Beginners competed in an exciting Ultimate Frisbee match, showcasing teamwork and house spirit! Meanwhile, our football players faced off against BSU, demonstrating sportsmanship and skill. Happy Heart’s Day Dance (February 14)
Love, friendship, and community filled the air at the JCo Happy Heart’s Day Dance for Lower School students. Thank you to Ms. Jennifer Francisco and Mr. Douglas Fehlen and all faculty and staff who made this a fun and memorable event!
Dr. Celeste | Away for a WASC Visit: This week, Dr. Celeste Engler is away on a WASC visit as part of an accreditation team evaluating another school. WASC, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, ensures that schools maintain high educational standards and continuously strive for improvement. Her participation in this process not only supports another institution but also allows her to bring valuable insights back to Brent. Accreditation is essential in maintaining the quality of education and ensuring that our students receive a recognized and well-rounded learning experience.
