As we welcome the month of December, our campus is alive with traditions, celebrations, and events that reflect the spirit of joy, gratitude, and togetherness. Below are this week’s acknowledgements and the upcoming activities as we journey through the final weeks of the semester.

UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS

Christmas Market @ Brent — Nov 29–30 LAST DAY TODAY! – Join us for a festive weekend of unique finds, delicious food, and live music. Proceeds support Vivita’s STEAM initiatives for young innovators.

Lessons & Carols Rehearsal — Nov 29 – A Saturday rehearsal for choir and orchestra members will take place from 9:00–10:00 AM at the Chapel. 

Lower School Production Rehearsals – Get ready for An Out-of-the-Box Christmas on December 16, 2025! See rehearsal reminders below. Tickets are now ready and available at the Bookstore and during the Christmas Market @ Brent.

City Advisory: December 1 Class Suspension

The City Government of Baguio has announced that all public and private schools will suspend classes beginning 12:00 noon on Monday, December 1, to allow for preparations and traffic management related to the 2025 Lantern Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting. Brent Baguio will follow this directive. A special morning schedule will be implemented to ensure students complete three instructional blocks with balanced class time before dismissal.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Thank You for a Meaningful Book Week (Nov 24–28-) Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made Book Week a memorable celebration of imagination, authorship, and reading. Special appreciation to Ms. Marj, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Pau for their thoughtful leadership and planning and the support of Ms. Nicolai and Ms. Geraldine. From author visits and reading buddies to trivia, crafts, and character dress-up day—the week brought joy and inspiration across all grade levels.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony-The campus gathered for a warm, festive celebration during our annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Neutral. Thank you to Engr. Rommel, Maintenance, IT, Media, Kitchen, Acctg. and all other departments, Ms. Nicolai and the Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team, whose performance of “Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart)” and countdown leadership set the perfect tone for the season. This budding tradition continues to bring light, hope, and unity to our Brent community.

Thanksgiving Eucharist & Thanksgiving Compline | Thank you to our Chapel team and Father Richard Egmalis for leading the Thanksgiving Holy Eucharist and to our boarding team (Bb. Nelly, Ms Russia and Ms Karina) for a heartfelt Thanksgiving Compline. Compliments to our Kitchen team for the exceptional food! These moments of reflection, gratitude, and quiet fellowship reminded us of the blessings of community and faith as we enter the Advent season.

House Games – Bottle Mover Robotics Challenge

Our appreciation to all House teams for your creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving during Thursday’s robotics-based Bottle Mover Challenge. With the event ending in a three-way tie, the final round will continue next semester. Special thanks to Mr. Kurt and the Robotics Club for designing and supporting this unique learning experience.

Last Week of Clubs (Nov 24–28)- Thank you to all club advisers, CAS student facilitators, and student participants for your engagement throughout the semester. Your enthusiasm and commitment help enrich student life at Brent.
