Dear Brent Community,

Warm greetings as we come to the end of our first few days of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

We are truly grateful that we were able to welcome our students safely back to campus this week, and we continue to keep everyone affected by the weather in our thoughts and prayers. With the weather-related suspension on Monday and Tuesday and the continuing effects of the recent rains across Baguio and surrounding areas, we know that some members of our community are still dealing with travel difficulties, and other concerns at home. We remain understanding and supportive of everyone’s situation.

Acknowledgements | August 12–14

Our particular thanks go to our maintenance, IT, security, clinic, dorm, library, kitchen and cafeteria, office, faculty, and support teams who worked together to ensure that the campus was ready and safe for our students.

Wednesday, August 12 – Welcome Back to School | Day 1
It was wonderful to finally welcome our students back to campus. We began our school year together with our Welcome Chapel and Homeroom activities, setting the tone for the year ahead.

Thank you as well to the parents who joined us for the Welcome Chapel and our Parent Coffee Morning from 9:15–10:15 AM. We appreciated the opportunity to reconnect, introduce important information for the year, and begin our partnership for SY 2026–2027.

Thursday–Friday, August 13–14
Our students continued settling into their classes, routines, and school spaces through our Day 2 and Day 1 schedules. These first days are an important time for establishing expectations, reconnecting with classmates and teachers, and helping our new students feel at home at Brent.

Thank you to everyone—students, parents, faculty, and staff—for your flexibility and good spirit during an opening week that required several adjustments.
