Preparing for Flexible Learning

August 17th, 2026|

Good morning. With the repeated suspension of face-to-face classes so early in the school year, I know many parents are understandably wondering what our plan will be if these disruptions continue. We have only had a few actual class days so far, and we have not yet had our Tea Parties and other opportunities to properly orient families to the Brent Flexible Learning Plan. We therefore want to make sure that any transition is thoughtful, clear, and appropriate for each school level.

August 16th, 2026|

The City Government of Baguio has announced the suspension of face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 for Monday, August 17, 2026, due to the Yellow Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA. In keeping with this advisory and with the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and families as our priority, Brent International School Baguio will suspend on-campus classes tomorrow.

Brent International School Baguio Strengthens Education Through Service and Stewardship

In the spirit of fellowship and partnership, the school donated one lot of library books to Easter College, Inc. and fifteen (15) refurbished Apple iMac desktop computers to Epiphany Christian Academy of La Trinidad. These donations reflect Brent's belief that educational resources continue to have value when they are thoughtfully shared with institutions that can benefit from them.

Expected Schoolwide Learning Results

We expect that each individual will make a unique contribution to achieving our learning results and we would like our students to be able to work individually and cooperatively to produce quality outcomes.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

LOWER SCHOOL ( Pre-K to Grade 3)

Lower School includes students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5. All classes are small, encouraging student-centered learning and individual growth. Each class has a Homeroom teacher responsible for the pastoral care of students, and keeping in close contact with parents.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (GRADES 6-8)

The curriculum for Middle School is designed to provide the foundation for students who will pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, through emphasis on discovery, investigation, and skills-based courses. Middle School students take eight subjects each semester.

UPPER SCHOOL (GRADES 9 – 12)

Upper School begins in Grade 9 with Courses in Grades 9 – 10 serving as preparation for International Baccalaureate courses in Grades 11 and 12. Courses in Grades 11 and 12 are offered at both Higher (HL) and Standard level (SL), as well as Credit level, to cater to students who may or may not choose to take the full IB diploma program.
