Dear Brent family,

TGIF! We hope this bulletin finds you safe and well. We have one more week remaining in Semester 1. Here are some updates on our activities as well as our end-of-Sem 1 timeline.

  1. CAS Expo- December 10, Friday during homeroom.

This morning, all homerooms viewed the accomplishments of all our Semester 1 CAS Clubs. All are welcome to celebrate and view the work of our clubs! Congratulations to our CAS student initiators and faculty advisors for an awesome Semester 1 club experience!

WELCOME TO THE VIRTUAL CAS EXPO FOR SEMESTER 1

Thank you to all the CAS clubs who submitted materials for homerooms to explore and enjoy!

Again, thank our faculty, student initiators, and student participants for their hard work and dedication. Brent Baguio continues to offer a rich and diverse activities program even in our virtual learning environment. Here’s to a fun and exciting CAS journey next semester!

Thank you as well to Ms. Laura Johnson, CAS Coordinator!

  1. LOWER SCHOOL PRODUCTION

Lower School invites you to this year’s Christmas production, “Isaiah Jones and the Seekers of the Lost Christmas Treasure”. This children’s musical takes Isaiah Jones, an explorer who loves video games, on a thrilling journey back to the little town of Bethlehem. On the way, he meets friends, finds amazing adventure, and of course, has a lot of fun! From the “shooting star” to treasure, and finally, to the true Treasure of Baby Jesus, you will enjoy watching this exciting tale.

The Christmas Production recording of Isaiah Jones will be shown on December 15th, Wednesday, during an All School Assembly. It will feature recorded performances by the Lower School classes. The link to the assembly will be shared to the community the day before the event.

  1. FINAL WEEK OF SCHOOL: ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION SCHEDULE

For ALL GRADE LEVELS. Here are the following details:

Regardless of the subject assessment due for submission on that day, regularly scheduled classes continue until December 17.  This gives teachers opportunities to guide, follow up, monitor and provide feedback to students. Students are reminded of the importance of completing these assessments honestly, in a timely manner and to the best of their ability. Academic Honesty expectations are implemented consistently across all subjects and grade levels.

Lower School will be carrying out regular classes until the last day of school. We will be having two half days of school on December 16, Thursday and December 17, Friday.

Also here is the  Assessment Submission schedule for Grades 6-12.

For students with outstanding work, here are the following:

  1. Teachers sent follow up emails/messages to both parents and students.

  2. A follow up at home with the student will be appreciated.  Kindly let us know how we can be of help by contacting your child’s subject teacher, Mrs. Abbey Diwas and/or Dr. Celeste Engler. We would like to approach challenges as compassionately and caring as possible while ensuring quality learning.

  3. For Grades 4-12 students, using an ‘M’ (missing) when computing the running grade has a significant impact on the average grade.  However, the ‘M’ mark can be updated once your child / ward submits his or her missing work or completes any outstanding requirements.

  4. We highly encourage parents/guardians and students to check running grades on BASIS. Here are the instructions: Accessing the BASIS Parent Portal Instructions.

Also, here is the SPECIAL SCHEDULE on December 16, Thursday and December 17, Friday.
