  1.  Congratulations to ANDRE ROSS MIKAEL MARQUEZ, Grade 10, for passing Team Philippines’ auditions for the 2023 WCOPA World Championships of Performing Arts on Friday, Nov. 25! We’re mighty proud of you, Bulldog!

Information on WCOPA: “This international meet is often cited as the official “Talent Olympics” for aspiring performers and entertainers, and the only event of its kind held annually in the “Hollywood area,” entertainment capital of the world.

Similar to the Olympics, only invited and qualified competitors (called Worldstars) representing different countries, vie each year in a fierce competition for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold, and the “Grand Champion Performer of the World” title. The 26th Annual WCOPA will be held in Anaheim, California on July 28 – August 6, 2023.”

“A popular highlight of the festivities is the spectacular Opening Ceremony featuring a colorful Parade of Nations at DISNEYLAND! The much-anticipated, priceless Worldstars® Boot Camp is an unmatched phenomenon of educational seminars and workshops by industry experts!

In the recent competition, WCOPA 2022, Team Philippines came home with a total of 266 Awards and Medals! 38 Gold, 59 Silver, 85 Bronze, 44 Semi-Finalist Medals, 8 Finalist Medals, 1 Scholarship, 29 Division Winner Plaques, the 1st Place Award for Extraordinary National Director, and 2nd Place Best in National Costume!” (source)
