Dear Brent Community,

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, we continue to give thanks for the many opportunities for learning, leadership, reflection, creativity, and community engagement that have marked this semester.

Acknowledgements: May 11–15

We thank everyone who supported another full and meaningful week of learning, assessment, leadership, community-building, and year-end activities.

ESL Level Tests for Grades 6/7 and 10 continued throughout the week and concluded on Friday, May 15. We thank our students, teachers, and support teams for helping ensure that these assessments proceeded smoothly.

We also acknowledge the CAS Assembly held on Monday, May 11, which gave our students another opportunity to reflect on creativity, activity, service, and meaningful engagement.

On Tuesday, May 12, our Grade 1 and 2 students visited the Baguio City Fire Station. We thank the Lower School team and all chaperones for making this field trip a safe and memorable learning experience. We also thank STUCO for leading Staff Appreciation during Long Homeroom, and we acknowledge the NHS for holding their elections and bonding activity at the Neutral Area.

On Wednesday, May 13, our Grade 5 and 6 students participated in their Meet and Greet during Block 2. We also gathered for our last chapel of the school year, featuring the Semester 2 Highlights Video. Thank you to Mr. Kurt Salvador, Mr. Gilbert Burgos and everyone who helped capture and celebrate the many moments of learning, service, friendship, and growth from this semester. We also thank the PTA and all attendees for the PTA Assembly held at the Dining Hall.

On Thursday, May 14, we held the Science and IT Expo on a special schedule. We thank our students, coordinator, Mr. Kurt Salvador and fellow faculty: Ms Dana Salvador (MS Pitching), Mr. Mahiru Imamura, Ms. Jade Fesalbon, Engr. Kris Nebrija and Mr. Michael Johnson, and Mr. Paul Engler for showcasing inquiry, innovation, creativity, and problem-solving through science and technology.
