October 26–November 14, 2026

Dear Brent Community,

As we approach the end of October and our upcoming All Saints’ Break, we have much to appreciate and look forward to. The past week brought more opportunities for learning beyond the classroom, student activities, and preparations for our upcoming school events. We are especially excited to see The Little Mermaid Jr. come to life this week, following weeks of rehearsals and preparation by our students and faculty.

With the break just around the corner, we hope everyone will have an opportunity to rest, reconnect with loved ones, and return refreshed for the remaining weeks of the semester.

ACKNOWELDGEMENTS

Thank you to everyone who contributed to another meaningful and productive week at Brent Baguio:

  • IB Learning Beyond the Classroom | October 19. IB Visual Arts | Exploring Baguio’s Creative Community. Our IB Visual Arts students had the opportunity to learn from local artist Clinton Aniversario, whose artist talk offered insights into the creative journey and the role of art in expressing ideas and perspectives. Visits to Sunshine Park, Oh My Gulay, and Ili-Likha further connected students with Baguio’s vibrant artistic heritage. Thank you to Ms. Annelle Veridiano for organizing this enriching experience.

  • IB Business Management | Learning from Subisan Dragon Fruit Farm. Our IB Business Management students visited Subisan Dragon Fruit Farm in La Union, where they explored how agriculture, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and tourism come together in a local business. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to see business concepts applied beyond the classroom and appreciate the creativity and determination involved in building an enterprise. Thank you to Ms. Donna Nebrija for facilitating this meaningful learning experience.

  • IB Life Skills | October 21. Thank you to teachers for facilitating the IB Life Skills Afternoon.
  • PTA Pickleball Open Play | October 17. Thank you to our PTA for organizing a wonderful opportunity to bring together parents, alumni, stidemts, and members of the Brent community through sports and recreation. The activity encouraged wellness, friendly competition, and community engagement. We also appreciate the efforts of our organizers, volunteers, and support personnel who helped make the event possible.
  • Football Grassroots Tune Up Games | October 24. Our appreciation to the PTA, coaches, athletics team, and volunteers for supporting these activities.
  • Boarding Activities | October 23–24. Thank you to our boarding team and Teacher Yeonyi for organizing the Tteokbokki-making activity and weekend outing.
  • Junior Council Book Drive. Thank you to our JCo and everyone who contributed books for Talinguroy Primary School in La Trinidad.
  • Congratulations to Our Brentonian Football Achievers! Brent International School Baguio proudly congratulates our students for their achievements in football as members of the Touch-A-Heart Football Academy (TaHFA)! Together with their teammates, coaches, and supportive parents, these young athletes were recently recognized and commended by the City Government of Baguio, through the City Mayor, for their outstanding achievements in local, national, and international youth football and futsal tournaments throughout 2025 and 2026. We celebrate their hard work, dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. May they continue to pursue their passion and inspire others both on and off the field. Congratulations! Your Brent family is proud of you!

Each performance has a maximum audience capacity of 250 guests, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Each ticket is valid for one designated performance only. Advance purchases are encouraged, as walk-in tickets will be available only if seats remain.

For those who purchased tickets earlier: All previously purchased tickets remain valid. As students will already be watching Friday’s afternoon performance during school hours, some families may prefer to transfer their Friday tickets to Thursday or select a performance featuring a particular cast.

Our Accounting/Bookstore team will reach out to earlier ticket purchasers to confirm their preferred performance and record any adjustments, subject to seat availability. There is no need to purchase or replace existing tickets.

We also remind all guests to arrive early, observe campus security procedures, and review our Community Guidelines.

For additional production information, please visit our school website, which you are welcome to share with family and friends.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our Director, Ms. Geraldine Reyes, Head of Visual and Performing Arts, Dr. Julie Sibucao, and our entire cast, crew, teachers, parents, and support teams. Campus Safety | Pedestrian Lane Update

We are pleased to share our appreciation to the Baguio City Government and City Engineering Office for their prompt action in completing the pedestrian lane improvement along Brent Road on Wednesday, October 21. We also remind all motorists entering campus to observe speed limits, come to a full stop at designated checkpoints, and remain mindful of pedestrians.

Campus safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we appreciate your continued cooperation.

School Uniforms | A Gentle Reminder

We kindly ask our students and parents to continue supporting our School Uniform Guidelines, particularly the requirements for appropriate school shoes. Wearing the proper uniform is also an opportunity for students to practice professionalism, personal responsibility, and respect for shared expectations—habits that will serve them well beyond school. Please note that repeated non-compliance may result in Orange Slips or reminders sent home. The guidelines are also available on our Parent/Student Interface. Thank you, parents, for helping reinforce these important habits!

As we conclude another busy month, thank you to our students, parents, faculty, and staff for the many ways you contribute to school life at Brent Baguio.

The coming days will bring the culmination of weeks of preparation for The Little Mermaid Jr., followed by a well-deserved break. I hope we can enjoy these moments, appreciate the effort that goes into them, and remember that learning and growth happen in many ways, both inside and outside the classroom.

Wishing everyone a wonderful final week of October, a successful production, and a restful and meaningful All Saints’ Break.

Warmly,

Dr. Celeste R. Engler
