Dear Brent Community,
Following the City’s announcement suspending face-to-face classes for Preschool–Grade 12 tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, please note the following:
1. NO CLASSES – TUESDAY, AUGUST 11
There will be no classes tomorrow. Students should not report to campus.
2. OFFICES OPEN | FACULTY & STAFF REPORT | TUESDAY, AUGUST 11
School offices will be open, and faculty and staff will report, subject to safe travel conditions. We will use the day to continue school-opening preparations and attend to classrooms and other areas of campus affected by the recent weather.
3. BOARDING STUDENTS
Some of our boarding students arrived on campus today and are safely settled and under the care of our boarding team. We continue to look after our resident students and ensure their safety and well-being during the current weather conditions.
4. WEDNESDAY’S DAY SCHEDULE
We will continue to maintain our synchronized Brent Schools schedule. We will confirm which Day schedule will be followed on Wednesday, August 12, once this has been coordinated with the other Brent campuses.
5. STUDENT–PARENT RESOURCES
We would like to share our Student–Parent Resources interface, available through the Brent Baguio website. This brings together important information, calendars, academic resources, guidelines, and support materials in one convenient place.
These bring together five key areas:
- General Information – Student–Parent Handbook, Brent Framework, Dining Hall Menu, Sports Handbook, PTA Guidelines/Bylaws, FAQs, Community Guidelines & Digital Citizenship, and Combined Classes
- Calendars – School Calendar, Google Activities Calendar, General Class Schedule, and Major Activities for the school year
- Course Outlines – course information by subject area and our Faculty Directory
- Policies & Guidelines – Academic Integrity, Netiquette and Communication Expectations, Clinic Guidelines, and other important school policies
- Support & Resources – Guidance & Counseling, parent SEL and well-being resources, Google Meet links, Destiny Library Catalog, BASIS How-Tos, and the Activity Form Application.
Some resources are restricted to Brent student and/or registered parent email accounts. If you are unable to access a document, please request access.
6. CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Please continue to prioritize safety. We keep in our prayers all those affected by the recent weather, and we are also looking at ways our Brent community can support families who have been particularly affected.
Please continue to check your email and our official school communication channels for updates.
Stay safe, everyone. We look forward to welcoming our students back to campus as soon as conditions safely allow.
Sincerely,
Dr. Celeste Engler
Headmaster
