Dear Brent family,

It’s only the first week of October, and we’ve already had many meaningful activities that continue to promote strong teaching and learning relationships, well-being and community!

Thanks to all our parents, guardians and students for attending our Parent Teacher Conferences held on Monday, October 4. We look forward to seeing our students reach their Semester 1 goals and continue building strategies of resilience and effective learning. Our faculty and staff appreciate your feedback and continue to be committed to delivering a quality MMC program.

Congratulations to the National Honor Society for inducting their officers and new members on Wednesday, October 6! Congratulations to our new NHS members and our NHS officers! We look forward to a great year of student leadership and exemplary citizenship!

A BIG THANK YOU as well to the NHS and our NHS Supervisors Bb. Nelly Doliente and Mrs Abbey Diwas for a sincere and heartwarming Teachers’ Appreciation Day virtual program for all the faculty on Tuesday, October 5. Our gratitude as well to the PTA for their lovely greetings!

Clubs have started this week and we are looking forward to seeing all students build community, develop leadership and team skills and embody the different ESLRs and Brent Crest values!

Here’s also announcing our Career Dress-Up Day Winners!

Below are some more updates:

  2. Here’s cheering for our MUN members and Mr. Jameson Brame, MUN Adviser. Below is a list our Brent Baguio participants:

Alfosno Konrad Dominic Quizon – GA1, representing Kuwait

Dancia Williams – GA4, representing Canada

Minseo Yoon – Economic and Social Council, representing Russia

Sori Kim – Human Rights Committee, representing Saudi Arabia

The MUN LOCALS CONFERENCE is patterned after the United Nations’ conduct of assemblies and parliamentary procedures. Here, students from participating schools will each receive a country delegation and will be responsible for researching and presenting their countries’ stance on various world issues, Students will be in different committees and will be discussing different topics and challenges for which resolutions are arrived at. Being in MUN locals will require a lot of time and dedication from our Brent Baguio MUN team but it will also give them the opportunity to build effective communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills and collaborative skills. They will also have the opportunity to meet many like-minded students who are keen in knowing about global issues.
