Celebrated American journalist and New York Times bestselling author Liza Mundy visited Brent International School Baguio this week as part of her extensive research into the experiences of American and Filipina nurses who served in the Philippines during World War II. Her work includes uncovering the little-known story of Lt. Beatrice Chambers, a U.S. Army nurse believed to have been stationed in Baguio during the early months of the war.

As announced by the Office of the President through Memorandum Circular No. 106, work in government offices and classes at all levels have been suspended on Monday and Tuesday, November 10 and 11, 2025, due to Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung Wong) and its expected impact on our region.

Your thoughtful message on collaboration and sustainability set the tone beautifully for this month’s focus on unity and global citizenship and our UN Day celebration on November 14!

Following the directive of Mayor Benjamin Magalong, classes are suspended today, October 9, for all levels from Pre-K to Grade 12. As before, students will need to be personally picked up.
