Middle School Social Squad and Grade 8 Religious Studies students took learning beyond the classroom today through “Rooted in Responsibility,” a tree-planting activity held at the Baguio Arboretum.
Held over two days, the Lower School Tea Party on August 25 and the Middle and Upper School Tea Party on August 26 provided families with an opportunity to reconnect with the school, meet faculty members, learn about programs and activities, and hear about the school's priorities for the year ahead.
Pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 129, which directs schools in affected areas to implement alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures, we will continue with our Flexible Learning Plan tomorrow, August 19, 2026.
Good evening. In view of the directive suspending face-to-face classes in Benguet for Tuesday, August 18, Brent Baguio will implement our Flexible Learning Plan tomorrow. With face-to-face classes again suspended, we are ready to move into our Flexible Learning Plan so students can stay connected with their teachers and continue learning from home.
As promised in our message this morning, we are sharing more specific guidance on the Brent Flexible Learning Plan so that students and families know what to expect should further suspensions of face-to-face classes occur. Our goal is simple: to keep learning moving forward while remaining flexible, practical, and mindful of the different circumstances families may experience during weather-related disruptions.
Good morning. With the repeated suspension of face-to-face classes so early in the school year, I know many parents are understandably wondering what our plan will be if these disruptions continue. We have only had a few actual class days so far, and we have not yet had our Tea Parties and other opportunities to properly orient families to the Brent Flexible Learning Plan. We therefore want to make sure that any transition is thoughtful, clear, and appropriate for each school level.
The City Government of Baguio has announced the suspension of face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 for Monday, August 17, 2026, due to the Yellow Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA. In keeping with this advisory and with the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and families as our priority, Brent International School Baguio will suspend on-campus classes tomorrow.
Warm greetings as we come to the end of our first few days of classes for School Year 2026–2027. We are truly grateful that we were able to welcome our students safely back to campus this week, and we continue to keep everyone affected by the weather in our thoughts and prayers.
Following the City’s announcement suspending face-to-face classes for Preschool–Grade 12 tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, please note the following: 1. There will be no classes tomorrow (August 11). Students should not report to campus; 2. School offices will be open, and faculty and staff will report, subject to safe travel conditions.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Work has been suspended today, Monday, August 10. Faculty and staff are NOT required to report, and school offices will be closed.
